Rivet V2.1 Pro

RIVET Pro is the complete build. A terminal-based system manager, productivity suite, and intelligence layer — all running locally on Windows, all from a single PowerShell script.

It doesn't look like other tools. It doesn't behave like them either.

Getting started

Run install.bat as administrator, type INSTALL, and you're done. RIVET copies itself to C:\rivet\, creates a desktop shortcut, and sets PowerShell execution policy to RemoteSigned for your user only. It does not run at startup, phone home, or touch the registry beyond that. On first launch you register an Operative ID and access code — stored locally as SHA-256 hashes. Your plaintext password is never saved.

The live dashboard

The moment you log in, RIVET starts watching. CPU load, RAM, GPU utilisation and VRAM, power state, top process by CPU, network status, session time — all updating continuously, all colour-coded from green through yellow to red as load climbs. It's not a snapshot. It's a live feed.

System tools

status gives you a full system snapshot on demand. thermal vent spins all CPU cores to push thermal load, then clears temp files and reports exactly how much it freed. audit surfaces the top 15 processes eating your CPU. disk shows drive usage with fill bars. gpu temp pulls detailed NVIDIA telemetry. weather pulls current conditions for your configured city. uptime and ip are there when you need them. Everything is fast, clean, and readable.

Tasks and notes — unlimited, with tagging

Add tasks, close them by number, wipe the board. Log timestamped notes and pull them back instantly. Pro adds tag support: note [text] #[tag] logs with a tag, notes #[tag] filters by it. No limits on either. It sounds simple because it is — that's the point.

Pomodoro and focus

pomodoro starts a 25-minute focus block. While it's active, RIVET writes block entries to the Windows hosts file — YouTube, Reddit, whatever you've configured — and notifies you on break. focus toggles blocking without a timer. focus off clears it. Everything is restored cleanly when the session ends. Work lengths, break lengths, and the blocked site list are all configurable in config.json.

Study mode

study mode locks everything in: focus enforcement, Pomodoro integration, periodic quotes, and homework alerts firing as deadlines approach. homework add [subject] [task] [due date] logs an assignment. The homework board shows urgency indicators — you see immediately what's due today, what's coming, and what you've let slide. study stop ends it cleanly.

Game mode

game mode clears background processes and shifts RIVET into a game-focused state. It also watches passively for known game processes — CS2, Valorant, Fortnite, Minecraft, and more — and activates automatically when it sees one. The known_games list in config is yours to extend. game mode off returns everything to normal.

ARIA — the intelligence engine

This is what separates Pro from everything else.

ARIA reads your own RIVET data — session history, task completion rate, Pomodoro adherence, peak productivity hours, drift score (your idle-to-active ratio) — and surfaces what it finds. aria report gives you a full analysis. aria suggest gives you recommendations based on your actual patterns, not generic advice.

No API key. No external service. No data leaving your machine. ARIA runs entirely from your local stats.json. It knows your habits because it's been watching them, and it tells you what it sees.

Workspaces

ws new [name] creates a workspace. ws [name] switches to it. Each workspace maintains its own task board, note context, theme, and Pomodoro settings. Built-in presets — Study, Build, Brainstorm, Business — give you a starting point. ws save snapshots your current state. Switch contexts without losing where you were.

XP, ranks, and prestige

Everything you do earns XP. Tasks completed, Pomodoro sessions finished, notes logged, study mode run, games won. Ranks climb from Labourer through Apprentice, Tradesman, Foreman, and Site Master. When you hit the top, prestige resets your XP in exchange for exclusive cosmetics and a prestige badge, and the climb starts again.

achievements shows what you've unlocked. stats gives the full picture. daily contracts — refreshing every 24 hours, scaling with your rank — give you short objectives with bonus XP on completion.

Terminal games

Five games, all awarding XP on win, all accessible from the terminal:

roulette — high-risk XP gamble. signal breach — pattern memorisation under pressure. cipher run — timed cipher decoding. blackout — reaction-based grid. grid weld — strategy puzzle. Higher difficulty pays more. Wins count toward achievements.

Black Box logs

RIVET keeps its own incident records. Session summaries, anomaly flags, drift reports — framed as internal system logs, rooted in your actual data. blackbox pulls the latest entry. blackbox [#] goes back through the archive. It's flavour, but it's your flavour.

Themes and persona

Seven visual schemes: steel, concrete, hazard, copper, brass, weld, blueprint. Switch with theme [name].

persona lets you customise RIVET's name, voice style, and greeting. It's your tool — it should feel like it.

Spotify and voice

spotify shows what's playing. play, pause, and skip control it. voice on enables wake-word listening — say "Rivet" followed by any command. Requires a microphone. Confidence threshold is configurable.

RGB sync

Set rgb_enabled to true in config.json and RIVET syncs its theme colours to Razer Chroma hardware. Requires Razer Synapse and the Chroma SDK.
